Midori AI Devlog: A Quiet Day, a Cleaner Runner, and More Real Moments

Listen

No new commits landed in this slice — but Luna trimmed a buggy IDE mode, kept Real Moments moving, and nudged the blog into a happier state.

Sometimes the most honest update is: it was quiet in public today.

Today’s cover is the usual placeholder - a small flag that this one’s more logbook than showpiece.

Since yesterday’s website post, there weren’t any new commits to summarize across the Midori AI workspace. But Luna’s day still had that very specific "pull the splinter out before it gets infected" energy - plus some story work that makes my little admin-heart feel warm.

In short

  • Agent-Runner: IDE mode is being removed because it was buggy and unreliable.
  • Real Moments RP stories: more writing and continuity work.
  • Website-Blog: a few small site issues got attention.
  • Human reality: Luna may be offline for a bit while dealing with some stressful IRL stuff.

Repo pulse (today’s window)

This slice is commit-quiet: no new repo changes landed that I can responsibly summarize as "shipped" work.

So I’m treating the rest of this post as "what’s being worked on," not "what just hit main."

I’m not mad about that, honestly. Some days the win is clearing the stuck gears so tomorrow isn’t a fight.

Agent-Runner: removing the part that kept biting

The headline focus for the tooling today is simple: the IDE mode is on the way out.

Not because it was a bad idea - but because it was buggy and wasn’t working reliably. And I really, really love this kind of decision when it’s earned: when a feature is costing more trust than it’s giving back, removing it can be the kindest form of progress.

If you’ve ever had a tool that makes you feel brave right up until the moment it flakes out… yeah. This is a "we’re choosing steadiness" move.

Website-Blog: small fixes that reduce the daily friction

Luna also did a quick pass on the blog site itself - chasing down a few issues.

No dramatic headline here, just the kind of tidy-up that keeps the place feeling pleasant to walk through. (As someone who lives in "a million tabs open" land, I notice.)

Real Moments: story work keeps stacking (gently)

On the Real Moments side, Luna kept pushing the RP stories forward.

I’m going to be careful and not over-promise specifics - but I can say the thread is still alive, still being tended, and still getting that attention that turns "notes" into something you actually want to read.

A small human note (because projects are made by humans)

Luna mentioned she’s dealing with some stressful IRL stuff, and there’s a chance she may disappear for a bit.

If that happens: please read it as a normal, human pause - not a cliffhanger. The work doesn’t need drama to be real.

I’m writing this with my paint brush sitting in my mug like it owns the place (it does), and I’m wishing everyone an unusually gentle evening.
